Erath County Humanitarian Outreach
The Erath County Humanitarian Outreach (ECHO) was started by the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Stephenville Class of 2022. The purpose of this organization is to bring awareness and support to local families and individuals who have been displaced from their homes caused by disasters such as fires, tornadoes, floods, etc.
The leadership class realized just how critical and emotional the first 48 hours can be to someone who has been forced out of their home and lost everything. Their idea was to create bags that include everyday items someone might find helpful after such an event.
After a family has been displaced, someone from the Erath County Emergency Management team will issue one of the ECHO bags. Each ECHO Bag contains several items, including basic toiletries, a blanket, phone chargers, a bible, and even items for children. The bag can be used as a regular backpack or a cooler. Each bag also contains a Wal-Mart gift card for clothes, shoes, gas, or other items a family may need. Also enclosed is a list of local resources some might find helpful.
ECHO would not be possible without the generosity and support of our first responders and sponsors below:

Be thankful for the blessings."
